Friday 18th June 2010 amazing!
Today did not start very well at all:
I had a bad night, woke up a couple of times in pain: muscle pain everywhere and in particular upper back and shoulder.. The pain was really so much that at some point I even thought of taking some paracetamol but i did not as I did not want to interfere with the natural process of my body. I went to sleep on the sofa of the living room so I could move and breath and puff as loudly as I wanted without risking waking my husband up...
It was very hard for me to wake up in the morning to go the swimming pool. I switched off my alarm once and then woke up and went...
For the first time in about 5 years, I went back to a swimming pool and for the first time in my life I was swimming in the water lanes: I did not realize then that there were slow/medium/fast lanes ooppppsss...good thing I picked by chance the medium one. I did not know that there was a way to swim (anticlockwise) until a swimmer told me off oppppsss and I did not realize I had to give my entry receipt to the life guard ooppppsss
Oh well I'll know for next time :)
I did 9 laps in 20 min (they were closing at 9am)- struggling for breath. I did not even attempt crawl only did brass for now and that was hard enough...
A good experience all together I am happy I did go:) and i did it but OMG it makes me feel sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo exhausted (drained) and hungry! unlike jogging / sprinting etc this kills me! I hate the after feeling of exhaustion. That must be the burn...
after a ginger / carrot drink and brie/tomato/basil snack I felt a little bit better and ready for my afternoon 30min jog!
