My Story: My Triumphs // My Goals // My Dreams // My Why
i am a mum of 4 and live with my partner of 5yrs.i love bodybuilding and am into forensic science and would love to be a criminal profilor and thay are my main interest. i like to watch csi(not miami or ny) and watch all the crime programs like forensic detectives ect.. i like comedies and horror and thrillers. i collect dvds and now have over 700. i love to play the wii and my outdoor activities include golf and running. one of my fav films is pumping iron 2-the women.
My Transformation Experiences: (start point / obstacles / milestones / triumphs)
i was always athletic and am blessed with a body that is naturally musclly. my goal is to get the best body i can and compete and become a stronger person,i have been through a lot as a child and suffered low self worth from a young child through to adulthood. i also had ocd's and had a lot of fears. since i started body building in 2000 i got more confident because i was doing something that made me feel great and the thought of one day being on stage and showing my efforts and being rewarded gives me a drive that feels unstopable. i've come a long way and i hold a lot down to body building for giving me that confidence. i wont lie i still have issues but very few compared to what i was like. i want to be strong in mind and body for myself and my children and have fun doing it. when i gave up body building to have my third child i felt like something was missing and felt low at times, although very happy with my family life and having more children was fantastic,i felt like i had lost something for me..something i felt i needed and missed, theres nothing like a good workout and as the months go on to see the transformation those workouts are doing..i needed it back. so a month ago(nearly a year after having my baby and my last child)i took it up again but now its better because i have the internet for sites like these and do not feel alone with who i can talk to. i only have one friend who has ever done body building,so this site is great.
In becoming the ME i desire to be, I Dare myself to master my empowerment in the following ways AND here is why:
enjoy life to the full,do what makes YOU happy but be aware of others and their needs.
I Feel Passionate About:
hi,my name is joanne, i have always been into fitness and did a lot at school, loved to be active but i didn't start seriously until i was 20yrs after having my second child. i was unhappy in my marriage and was not happy with my body. i started to workout to karen voight videos and loved the way she looked,i wanted muscles like she had..then i bought muscle and fitness and flex and then my world changed. i had done performing arts at school and loved the stage,so this was perfect..bodybuilding to compete. i did bodybuilding for 6yrs till i decided to give it up to have my third child(i divorced after 3yrs of marriage in 2000) 3yrs ago and then i went on to have my forth child a year ago. i am now doing weights and cardio again and hope to compete in a few years time.
Type of People I want to Associate With // Learn From and Why:
i am an at home mum of 4. my eldest is 11yrs and shes just started high school,my second is 9yrs and autistic and he's doing brilliantly in all area's although he cannot talk so well(babbles like a baby at times) and finds it hard to understand stuff and has no idea of danger so he needs 24hr care by myself and his dad he see's at wkends and my 3rd is 2yrs and a cheeky gorgeous girl and my forth child is 11months and he seems like he's going on 2 already. i did fitness instructor course about 6yrs ago and had to give it up not long before i would have completed my training. i had to because ryan was very hard work at the time(my autistic son) and the schools couldnt cope with him so with him being at home there was no time to study. i would love to re take the course and do that as well as criminal profiler but if i had to choose one or the other it would be fitness instructor because i already no so much its my life. bodybuilding and my kids are my life.
Referred by:
from a friend request i excepted on facebook, seen the web address and checked it this site already

to build a better and stronger body and to compete in NABBA comps and go from there, i would love to travel and compete in the bigger comps as my kids get older and i have more free time to do this.

Welcome to the site and thanks for sharing so much about yourself! As an inspirational process you should start a journal in the forum where the training journals are! I did and it is a lot of fun, especially when you get feedback!!!

Greetings Joanne Ransom. Thank you for send me the invitation. I admire the female athletes like you because for me are an example of inspiration, overcoming, discipline and respect. Thanks again for the add and I hope we can be good friends. An affectionate greeting of my part.

Thanks for sharing your story in such depth! That was an amazing read!

So how did bodybuilding help you overcome your OCD?

Your children are so cute, by the way!

Enjoy the site and good luck on attaining your next goal. :-)
