Up until March last year I lived a really unhealthy lifestyle. I was drinking every single day and smoking 20+ cigarettes a day. The day I decided to change my life was when I had to climb up 80 or so steps out of the tube station and I felt I was going to collapse right there in the station. I realised that I was completely ruining my body and I needed to do something about it! So I stopped drinking and smoking on the 14th March 2009 and joined a gym. I lost 2.5 stone, and a lot of inches. Unfortunately, towards the end of last year, I had a few problems and unfortunately my training really suffered. But I'm ready to get back into it now. I am running two 5k runs this year; these are 2 of my goals and will help me stay motivated. I always feel so much better mentally and physically when I train, and I've decided to completely turn my life around and dedicate myself to a life of health and fitness!
What Made Me "ME"
I'm inspired by lots of women who are bodybuilders/fitness models. Jamie Eason and Jen Hendershot are just a couple of ladies who give me inspiration. My heroes are strong women (and men) who get out there and achieve things through hard work and dedication.
My Body Proud Moments
Stretching and flexibility, beginners running.
Talents I Wish to Hone.
Losing 2 and a half stone last year. Quitting smoking and giving up alcohol.
Areas I wish to Solve / Resolve / Enrich:
My Philosophy / Message / Wisdom:
Having a supportive partner; relative good health; life.
Look for ME Here:
I believe that I should look after my body, because it is the only body that i'll have! And I have lots of things I want to do and need my body for as long as possible!
My GAME Play Strategy:
Today will be my first visit to the gym in a while. I am really looking forward to going. I have been eating really well as I revamped my diet. I am going to start of slowly, and concentrate this week on getting back into the swing of things rather than rushing straight into it. I feel really focused at the moment and just hope that I can keep this focus going.
Skills I Have:
I have my first 5k run in on June 5th, so my immediate goal is to be able to complete this race running (you can walk or jog it too). So, I am planning on spending the next few weeks training and practicing for the race. I am also starting weight training - my long term goal is to achieve a fitness model figure, but I know this will take a bit longer.
