I began bodybuilding by accident!
During my time in the Marine Corps I sustained a back injury that was quite debilitating. As everyone knows the Marine Corps has very high standards for physical fitness, though my injury had me on limited activity, I was mandated to begin weight training so that I maintained some level of fitness while I was not permitted to participate in running. Little did I know that this would lead to me discovering a new passion for bodybuilding. I continued to lift and when I was due to exit the Marine Corps in 2002, I stopped by a local gym to get a membership since I was going to need to continue to workout. The head trainer asked if I was interested in becoming a trainer. I gave him an astounding "Yes!" I went on to become certified and began my journey of helping others become Body Proud. It was during my first year as a trainer that I fell in love with the sport of bodybuilding. One of my co-workers was competing in a contest, in which I attended, and he was in phenomenal form that night. It was a small, yet very fascinating thing that made me say "I have to compete." I was immediately hooked! It was not until 5 years later that I finally competed. I won Heavyweight Novice and Novice overall at the 2007 Las Vegas Classic. In 2008, I won the Open Light Heavyweight Musclemania which was held in Las Vegas. I am looking forward to competing with body proud. I am glad to be competing with Fame because they are going the extra mile to make this competition a level playing field. See you all in Las Vegas!
Talents I Wish to Hone.
My most proud Moments
I have been certified through several training organizations, read a ton of books, blah blah. None of that matters if you can't transfer the knowledge to someone else and help them reach their goals. I am most proud when I hear stories form clients and patients about how they feel better, lost weight, gained muscle, renewed their sex life with their spouse, gained confidence to take on the world. I cannot name a particular case, because there have been numerous throughout the years. Hearing these testimonies never get old and I feel as proud as I did the first time I heard one in 2002.

2007 Las Vegas Classic Novice Heavywight/Novice Overall Champion

Players I Wish to Associate With and Why:
My job is marketing me. I am a brand all by myself "Rod-Zilla" I have walked the talk of what it means to be a natural bodybuilder and I hope to share my story with others to let them know that it can be done with consitent hardwork and dedication.
Look for ME Here:
Train Hard, Eat correctly and the results you seek will come! Many times clients and patients get wrapped up in the emotions of eating, their body composition, etc. Your body is the most efficient machine on Earth and it will adapt to whatever stimuli you give it. Train hard and intensely you will inevitably get bigger, faster and stronger. Eat well (reduced calorie, positive nitrogen balance, low fat, low glycemic diet) and you will inevitably get better muscle tone, healthier, leaner, and have the body you desire. When your progress has slowed review these two principles. Eat clean and Train hard!!
Skills I Have:
Reach them by Nov 13 2010
Referred by (and why):
A fellow personal trainer.
