I was moderately active until I was involved in a car accident in 2004.I had a fractured femur,ruptured spleen and pancreas.I was immobile for two months working with a physiotherapist.After 8 months I was walking fine.From then onwards it has been a roller coaster right weight flactuating up and down until I layed my eyes on the Muscle Evolution magazine, from the Muscle Evolution I discovered the Fitness magazine.So now I'm currently using the full body exercises which I made copies and laminated and put them up in my home gym.I'm starting to see muscles I never thought I had and I'm loving every minute I spend exercising.I'm following a high protein diet.I will be going for my body fat assessment soon yey!!!:-)

Nutrition and gaining muscle without gaining fat.I find that when I focus on building muscle I also gain fat, and it's frustrating..

Today was my leg day.I did 3 sets of barbell squats 20 reps,calf raises,leg raises,dead lifts,and walking lunges.After that 10 min cardio on a stationary bike.I wish I could have done more cardio but my legs were shaking...
In becoming the ME i desire to be, I Dare myself to master my empowerment in the following ways AND here is why:
Before I put anything into my mouth I first ask if it's going to support my goals if not,put it away and sing this mantra to myself..."nothing tastes as good as lean feels and looks.Most of the times it works, but if I still feel like having that particular food I'l have it and make sure I do 20 to 30 min cardio..
I have already been stepping up to my own plate / daring myself to stretch my comfort zone and here are some of my results and proud moments.

My Message to You (and all those who relate to ME and my Story)
For the life and the body that I have.I almost lost it but I was given a second chance to be still in this body so I have vowed to look after it the best way I know how.
I am also grateful for all the fitness women that inspire us everyday and have paved a way to show those of us behind them that this fitness thing is doable through hard work and commitment.I've had enough of the lies of having a dream body in 30 days!Thanks Nicole for always giving us real facts.
Just surfing the net looking for more training tips from Nicole Seymour as sometimes I get impatient waiting for the next issue of the Fitness Magazine to hit the shelves. Then I bumped into this site.
