Why Hemp Protein Gives Me Such a High

Back in the winter time I took a food intolerance test and found out one of the things I was intolerate to was whey, which is not surprising because it is dairy and I have a little bit of a lactose intolerance thing going on. Therefore I had to find another type of protein because as we all…

Raw Food 101

Posted on May 26, 2010 at 5:07pm 0 Comments

My first impression I had of raw food may be somewhat like yours, “ick”. All I could think of was sprouts and berries. I didn’t see any variety or taste, so I didn’t bother to really give it a try.

THank you!!!! for the beautiful comment...so are you!!!
Its nice to hear that there are other Athletes who are becoming vegetarian or Vegan.
I have been Vegan for 11 years.. all good changes for me..no regrets. BUT i do miss the seafood..LOL
I have always been athletic but in the last year I have taken it to the next level. The Vegan diet has not been an issue..Now that I am doing my first competition and on Pre comp. diet its been more of a struggle. Cannot eat my usual protein..tofu, lentils etc etc. I have to drink it pure form..so Hemp, Soy and Vega..Have you heard of Vega?? Its amazing - complete plant food...its been my saviour : )

Hi Lyndsay,

I agree with your post, raw foods can be absolutely delicious. There is a restaurant in Chicago called Karyns Raw, she offers the best food and atmosphere! I tell my clients about it, they go and are shocked at how good the food is. She also has Karyns Cooked but with the same concept of really healthy eating. Both are fantastic. If you get a chance, google her and check out her menu, I think you'll like it.
