My "Proud ME" Story:
When I started my journey as a competitor, I was teaching group fitness classes, but my eating habits were horrible. I had an addiction to sugar, carbs and fat and had no idea what portion control was. Although I wasn't "fat", I had a higher bodyfat that I would ever want to have now. I trained for my first show with a trainer and I've been hooked ever since.

I am originally from Pennsylvania, a very small town and now live in San Diego, CA. I have to say, I definitely love where I live now, but learned a lot of good values from the area where I grew up.

I suffered with severe asthma as a child and still have it,but it is well controlled. If someone told me 20 years ago that I would be doing 30 to 40 min. cardio every day, I would not believe it. I've overcome my negative thoughts about asthma and always strive for improvement, especially as I age. One of my main goals in life is to maintain my physique no matter what my age.
My Body Proud Moments
Proper posing, walk, bathing suit selection, heels, etc.
Experience, Awareness, or Life Lesson that Enriched ME:
I have been competing in some way, shape or form since 2000 with various organizations. I am excited to find FAME and have heard great things.
Talents I Wish to Hone.
My most proud moments are just being on stage. The hard work that leads up to each and every time I take the stage is a proud moment for me. The trophy is icing on the cake.
My Passion Project:
I have been competing since 2000 in Fitness, Bodybuilding, Figure and Bikini with various organizations. I'm a personal trainer as well and I live my life as an example of naturally sculpting the woman's body into something strong, feminine and sexy. I find fulfillment when my clients want to compete...it means I'm approachable, and they know it's attainable and they see how much fun it is.

I am also a Fitness model, and like the rest of us one of my goals is to be a role model for the fitness-minded folks out there....not just with my body, but by being an inspiration and a cheerleader to other competitors.
Areas I wish to Solve / Resolve / Enrich:
Personal Trainer &/or Fitness Professional, Entrepreneur, Health & Lifestyle, Public Services, Professional, Artist, Model
My Philosophy / Message / Wisdom:
a supportive husband and family.
My Inspiration:

Players I Wish to Associate With and Why:
Make your bling all about your body. Let your personality shine through like the stars.
Look for ME Here:
I believe in hard work, discipline and dedication as key ingredients to get you to any goal in your life. I also believe that for all women, "strong is sexy." Never give up on a dream. Mine is to be a name that people know and respect in the fitness community.
Skills I Have:
I plan to compete this year 2011 with FAME.

Hi Laurie,

Thank you for your question regarding the Figure Routine.

The Routine component is only included in the "Figure Posing and Routine" category.  The category simply called "Figure" only consists of physique judging in the Quarter Turns, and no routine is required.

The Figure Posing and Routine category includes judging in the Quarter Turns, and also includes a round of open handed Bodybuilding style poses as well as a Routine round

The routine is up to 90 seconds in length to the music of the competitor's choice. During this round competitors get to show the audience their physique in the way they want to present it.

Competitors are required to incorporate at least 3 of the mandatory Figure Posing and Routine poses into their routine. Competitors are also required to incorporate at least 2 elements which display strength, held for 3-5 seconds each.

Competitors may include elements from dance, martial arts or other sports into their routine for excitement and to show their individual personality, but flips or other inverted moves are not allowed in Figure Posing and Routine.

Judging will be based on selection and execution of included elements and poses, overall performance, creativity and entertainment value.

For more information about all the competition categories with FAME, please visit www.FAMEWorldTour.com
We hope to see you on a FAME World Tour stage soon!
