From Boston to Iceland!!

Profile Information

My Story: My Triumphs // My Goals // My Dreams // My Why
Working diligently to work in fitness fulltime. At the moment I am working hard on promoting FAME in Iceland. As a novice promoter it is hard when you do not have the necessary connections, and the fact that Truestar is only in Norht America so it is hard to really dive into what BodyProud is offering for it's members, BUT I am working on having a BodyProud showcase in my hometown of Boston for next year.

Despite the obstacles I may face in Iceland, the opportunities for me promoting FAME/Truestar/BodyProud are there and that is where I see myself. Helping others becoming BodyProud.
More About My Life Story and What Made Me ME
My mother and wife!
My Transformation Experiences: (start point / obstacles / milestones / triumphs)
How to REALLY get that definition going. I want to compete in the masters for FAME!!!
My BodyProud Challenge Gift Code
My goals are to compete in the challenge, and hopefully to be an inspiration for anyone who thinks that they cannot do this, but I am here to say that you CAN!!!
In becoming the ME i desire to be, I Dare myself to master my empowerment in the following ways AND here is why:
When I became sober, and realized that not only was I hurting myself, but I was hurting my wife and kids when I was drinking. I hid behind alcohol because of a very low-self esteem, and I hurt some people in the process. But I "see" much better without alcohol and I know that I do not need it to boost my confidence in myself. Now sober and I have all the confidence in the world!
I have already been stepping up to my own plate / daring myself to stretch my comfort zone and here are some of my results and proud moments.
The passion for fitness was always there, and I trained on a regular basis, but never though of myself good enough in helping others, until my wife and some friends pushed me into giving bootcamp classes. I met Jeff and Mindy, loved their philosophy, which is an overall well being. Not just on a physical level, but uplifting your mind and spirit as well.
I Feel Passionate About:
My name is Christopher Martin Shaddock. I spent 8 years in the Army, fought in Iraq in the beginning of the war for 2 years, became a SGT out there. I am from Boston, MA nd now reside in Iceland with my wife and kids. My wife is from Iceland I am 44 years old and working on doing fitness fulltime, and competing with FAME!

Thighs: 23
Inner Knee: 16

Type of People I want to Associate With // Learn From and Why:
Having spent 8 years in the Army, fitness is without a doubt one of the top priorities for soldiers. Recently Certified Personal Trainer through ISSA, I look to expand on that. Zumba, Yoga and Tai Chi have always been favorites of mineand I think as a personal trainer it is good to be diversified in fitness and well being.
Lesson That Changed My Life / People who Inspire(d) ME
My Message to You (and all those who relate to ME and my Story)
Competing in my first amateur bodybuilding event., and most importantly my wife of 11 years!
Referred by:
Jeff Kippel
Web Presence / Awards / Recognition / Self-Plugs:
I competed when I was active duty at FT Campbell. It was amateur level and I placed 7th in my class. I was happy because I just got to compete. Met a lot of great people and got some good advice, AND when I became sober. BIG AHA!

Even though my attempt at trying to promote a FAME event in Iceland failed, I am still working on trying to promote FAME. I am looking at my home town of Boston. I have some interest their after checking around and emailing people, businesses. An idea I have is to create a calender called the men and women of FAME. People who would compete in the event would be chosen to appear in a calender. One of women, and one of men. A percentage of the proceeds from the calender would go help veterans…

11 Foods That Get Your Sex Drive Going Naturally

Can eating specific foods get that mojo going? I'm a skeptic about this theory, but curiosity got the best of me so I decided to investigate. Because hey, I'll admit, there are times we could all use some inspiration to get in the mood and get it on. And yes sometimes eating specific foods do stimulate bodily desires, so bring it on baby!

Fats You Can——and Should— Eat

Posted on April 18, 2012 at 11:05pm 0 Comments

It's just not fair: Fat got a bad rap decades ago because scientists assumed, based on the misinterpretation of a couple of large studies, that eating foods containing fat would lead directly to obesity and heart disease. Fatty foods were made out to be our sole dietary vice, responsible for raising our cholesterol levels, clogging our arteries, and causing us to get, well, fat.

And that made a kind of intuitive sense — —why wouldn't the fat you consume wind up as the fat you see on…
