My "Proud ME" Story:
Obviously Training in the gym has been a massive influence on my life since I was 19 but I used to also play alot of Tennis, I play golf, love the outdoors, preparing and eating great food, wine and spending quality time with friends chilling and laughing at home or going mad on a dance floor in east London !

My family and friends are the people who have helped me get through many good and tough times so far in my life with unconditional love and support and who have helped me grow into a grounded, positive and happy person.

If it doesn't kill you it makes you Stronger...
My Body Proud Moments
In December 2005 i shot the cover for Healthy for Men Magazine (having already been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitus of the Large Intestine earlier that year).
Then in January 2006 I was taken into the Guys and St Thomas Hospital with a painful and swollen abdoman, the Ulcerative Colitus had caused a complete blockage of my large intestine and I needed an emergency operation to remove the blockage, this would result in me using an external Colostomy bag for 18months. I also found out that there had only been a handful of cases worldwide of this happening with Ulcerative Colitus and my case was to be written up in a medical journal.

I carried on training in the gym about 2 months after the operation and it helped focus my mind and gave me a positive challenge to get me through everything.

Then In October 2006 It was planned that I would undergo another operation to completely remove my large intestine and to create an "Internal Pouch" using my small intestine, this turned into a 5 hour operation with a couple of complications afterwards, after being unable to eat for 10 days and 3 weeks in the hospital post op I'd lost 2 stone. I recovered well in the end and a date of March 2007 was set for my final operation to re-connect me back to working 'normally'.

In March 2007 they re-connected my intestines and took away the need for a colostomy bag, I recovered well and It is now 18 months since the final operation.

I've often thought that my experience might be able to benefit others in similar situations, fitness and training gave me a great focus, mentally just as much as physically and would be great to get on board with any projects.
Experience, Awareness, or Life Lesson that Enriched ME:

Skills I Have:
2010 - To compete in FAME Uk once again and beat 3rd place from last year.....I finished 4th but now have 2 years worth of experience to put into practise at next years event.

2009 - My goals for 2009 were that I wanted to be able to say at 2 points in the year...'I'm in the best shape of my life', Become a qualified Personal trainer and start my own PT business.

I have achieved the first one which was after 2 months of hard training and dieting culminating in a shoot for La Muscle Tv on March the 12th, it was the best shape I've ever been in and showed to me how hard work , sacrifice and determination pays off.

2 weeks later I started studying for my Personal Training qualification and am currently starting my plans to start a Personal Training business with 3 other friends, I will be qualified on July 4th - Independance Day ! by then our business will be setup and ready to go.

Also by then I will be one month into my diet and training for the FAME UK competition in August in Brighton and at that point I am planning to say for the 2nd time this year....'I'm in the best shape off my life' !

Adam, I enjoyed your recent Iron Abs show on LA Muscle TV and wanted to ask you about your diet. I am looking to diet down for 3 months, to get in the best shape poss. Could you give me an idea of a typical day or week on your diet, preparing for your show. I noticed you were mainly on turkey/broc. I respond well to lower carbs and wondered what your diet was like and how it changed over the weeks? Also the quantity of cardio you are doing to prepare? Any help would be most appreciated. Thankyou.

Adam! Thanks for the great comments & congrats on graduation day!! I think the most successful personal trainers are the ones who are in it for the PEOPLE & not the MONEY. What makes us so successful is that we have LIVED the experience and are living proof that anyone can accomplish anything they put their mind to it. THATS what sells us in the end :) xoxo
