FAME FIGURE CATEGORIES - 2 OPTIONS

FAME FIGURE CATEGORIES - 2 Options

Figure is for Females only. All posing is done in high heels.

There are TWO divisions of FAME Figure that are available at most FAME World Tour events. Although the components are different, the physique is the same for both categories. So anyone competing in one can aim to compete in the other as well.

Figure Category Comparison

The FAME Figure Physique Category is designed for those female competitors who want to be judged solely on physical development, conditioning, and presentation in competition suits with no themewear rounds. More Info

The FAME Figure Posing & Routine Category is perfect for those who wish to also showcase their muscled physique through a series of mandatory poses. These poses are similar to bodybuilding except they are showcased in a more 'feminine' format where all poses are done open handed and athletes wear high heels. As well, Figure Posing & Routine athletes have 90 seconds to wow the judges, audience and media with an individually choreographed routine that highlights their physique, talents, strength and creativity. More info

Who:
* Females Only
* All Ages - There is also a Masters Class (35+) for Figure Physique
* All Levels - Newcomers; Seasoned Athletes; PROs
* Athletes from other organizations and federations

The Look:
Competitors should display a muscular, defined physique with symmetrical upper and lower body development. Physique should be lean without excessive body fat. Significant muscular development is allowed, but size should not be excessive. Muscle separation, and visible ab development is expected in this division. Hard conditioning is allowed, but competitors should not be excessively dry or striated. Athletes should also pay attention to posture and presentation.

Posing:
Figure competitors should be tight from head to toe, properly flexing all muscle groups and maintaining symmetry, while still displaying poise and stage presence. Posing should look effortless.

Drug Testing
All FAME World Tour competitions follow the Drug Testing guidelines set out by the World Natural Sports Organization (WNSO) to encourage a Natural stage and create an even playing field. As such all athletes will be screened to ensure only those who are not showing signs of banned substance abuse can move on.

FAME welcomes Individuals of all levels (including first timers) regardless of background, titles and/or organization affiliation.

NOTE:
Athletes who participate in either Figure category may also opt to participate in the Muscle Model Search as well since the physiques are similar. The prime differences being that in the Model category athletes are much more relaxed on stage; personality & personal flair are important; and there is a themed wear round where athletes select a theme and have the opportunity to play it up center stage!

ok looks like he's not 100% interested yet... and he won't be moving to california until this time next year, most likely... however, it could be an opportunity!

Hmmm..well, actually, I may know someone! Let me check into that for you!
I would LOVE to compete in a FAME show, or many! However, it's just not in the cards this year monetarily :( 2010 will be better :)

Hi Carole. We would love to have FAME out in California again for 2010. The only thing required is someone local there who is business savvy with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for this industry. :-) If you have someone in mind, please pass them along.

Aside from that we would love to have you compete with us. It seems like you would fit right in with the FAME World Tour. It would be great for you to join us for the FAME International Championships this November in Florida &/or the FAME Canadian Nationals (yes, Americans can compete!) out west in British Columbia. We'd love to meet you. :)

Hi Kraig! thanks! Forgive me for my ignorance since i'm not that familiar with FAME, however, are there any shows in California? that would be a good location for phx people to travel to as well. I was competing in the NPC, but as a natural competitor, I can't keep up with the enhanced muscle mass that usually dominates and am now exploring my options :)

Hi ladies! I'm going to be doing my first figure comp this July. Was going to do fitness model/bikini, but for a number of reasons have decided to change my goals. Now I've got to build lots of muscle to compete with you all! :) Look forward to possibly seeing some of you on stage. Happy training!
