Everyone knows the mandate of the Body Proud Community is to... well... inspire being body proud. We're here to encourage each and every one of you to experience the feeling (it's fantastic!) of saying 'i am body proud' and really, really mean it.
What's even better is that the Body Proud Community gives you valuable 'body proud making' tools such as:
* Set Timelines
* Recommended Trainers
* Helpful Resources
* An Ever Supportive Community - (ie. THIS ONE) filled with advice, your own cheerleaders, tons of experts, role models and a multitude of new friends (who truly are here for YOU!)
So... Here's "The Challenge" part (By the way, ALL OF YOU should accept!):
Seriously, You've Been Challenged, So Take It On!... Show us (and more importantly, yourself) what great stuff you've got!
How Exciting!....
The Challenge:
Showcase your new body proud self (ie. what you envision for yourself) at any upcoming event affiliated with the FAME World Tour. This includes both live and online events and allows you several options (ranging from a transformation showcase all the way to physique competitions), dates and locations from which to choose.
For those of you who have never considered this before, you're probably thinking something along the lines of:
"Nope. Not me. It's not in my personality to get up on stage. This isn't a desire of mine AT ALL. It's just too scary / weird / egotistical / fill-in-the-blank-with-something-that-stops-you.".
Well folks, that's part of The Challenge!
In fact, getting past those thoughts, asking yourself "why is that?" - and ultimately changing your perceptions - are all a part of The Challenge....
Say WHAT?
IT'S TRUE! Often, many of us develop a script (i.e. self-talk - the voices we hear in our heads before we take action, make decisions or even respond) based on our inner child, past experiences or feelings that we didn't enjoy. That self talk makes complete sense to you now. However, the problem is that is also is what holds you back from success everywhere in your life, not just around getting to your body proud goals. It's actually a sort of "defense" to allow you to maintain status quo and help you avoid situations that may challenge - and, especially, conquer - your insecurities and fears.
So the Body Proud Challenge is here to "challenge" that part of you.... and clear the way for YOU to grow as a person!!
See, you just don't know what you don't know. Think about that: there's stuff you know you don't know, right? And there's even MORE stuff that you don't know that you don't know! So, for example, you may not yet know what it's like to feel better about yourself than you do now. You probably don't yet know how it feels to be happier, more confident, healthier, and more energized at this stage of your life. And THAT''s the purpose of the Body Proud Challenge: to encourage you to reach your personal goals and experience the excitement of being body proud. Trust us - it'll fire up your whole life with more confidence and power than you can know until you're IN it!
You see, we've been producing the FAME World Tour series of events for the last eleven(11) years - since 1998 - so we know what we're talking about. Year after year, show after show, event after event, people continually report (email, call, and let it run through the grapevine) the exact same thing: Stepping foot on the FAME Stage changes lives!!
Yours can change too... for the better! Imagine feeling on top of the world; blazing forward with extreme confidence in everything you do: knowing at our core that you can do whatever it is you choose; feeling chock-full of energy; being able to do cool, new personal things you've always wanted to do (like touching your toes and even the floor; lifting heavy boxes with ease; strutting your stuff in the clothes you've always wanted to wear); healing your emotional and/or physical pains; being so much healthier than when you started... AND inspiring your close friends and family to join you in doing the very same thing!
The keys are maintaining a positive attitude and a healthy outlook. When you stay focused and keep your eye on the prize (the body proud physique you envision), you, too, will feel on top of the world! In fact, many people go on from their first goals to create the life they truly desire: some switch careers to something they actually enjoy; others pursue their dream of acting and/or modeling; some acquire new hobbies that they've only dreamed of having; others mend relationships or develop the confidence to move into new and better relationships... The list is endless... And the opportunities are plentiful.
So do it... JUST. STEP UP. AND. DO IT. Take The Body Proud Challenge! Step onto the FAME Stage and reveal your Body Proud physique!

What we know is that everyone who does the Body Proud Showcase can - and should- go on to be in a Physique Competition (maybe in their next "body proud challenge") at a later date. Stepping into competing brings you - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically - to a whole new level of feeling wonderful! What you do additionally with that spotlight is yours to dream and then build. Both declared competition winners, and ALL runners up, achieve -- and will continue to - achieve - their dreams. These confidence-building competitions breed opportunities and deliver exposure.

HERE is where the fun begins! So start NOW!
Step 1. Envision your most body proud self. Step 2. Post your detailed goals in your profile Step 3. Choose and Register for a Body Proud Showcase or Physique Competition date to reveal your body proud transformation. And, even if you don't have an event in your area, be sure to choose an online competition so that you can share all of what you've accomplished! Step 4. Keep track of your progress by blog, video, Facebook statuses, Twitter tweets (i.e. use all social media as your tools to help you along the way), and any other way you can think of to let the world know that you're "body proud"! Step 5. Stay motivated and encourage others who are competing at your shows. These "competitors" are, ultimately, also your partners and cheerleaders who will offer support, encouragement and advice along the way.
And here's a GREAT added benefit: You also get to meet your new friends from the Body Proud Community at your chosen shows. How awesome is that!

Hey all! HOLY CRAP, I have missed alot since being offlne for the last 6 hours. What a day! But I always love coming onto BP the first thing when I wake up,.. because it is an international site, so much goes on when I sleep... and always go on befor I go to bed, on my crazy days, it brings me back down to earth to know that my family is still out here making things happen.. and I want people waking up on ht eother side of the world.. to have something to look forward to when then wake.. with that said... I am so excited for you on here I cucked to myself reading the posts back and forth about you deciding whether to compete, when etc. I thnk EVERYONE at one pont or another has that frst inital response. When Allen mentioned that he thougth we shoudl do Fit Duo in Nov. I said "like 2009" Nov? HOLY CRAP! it is actually 3 days before my birthday too...take that leap of faith, be PROUD of how far you have come and DO IT... show your accomplshments! and every year here on out.. you are like a fne wine.. you will just get better with time! You can figure Cynthia, we talked about that being your goal... Michelle, GO FOR IT! I am the Amy Barnes photo above, from 490lbs to BodyProud... If I can do it... you ALL CAN! We are all on here as your cheerleaders and if you could see me now.l with my pom poms..I will be cheering you guys one everystep of the way.. If you have questions about diet, exercises, training, if I dont know the answer..there is someone on BP that sure does!

I just saw at the top of the page on the right, there is PHYSIQUE CATEGORIES "tab" in yellow letters with the black background. Check that out and see if it doesn't help you.
If you go to the headers at the top of this page it says physique categories, click on the categories and it will give you the details and what is being looked for

Hi Michelle. I'm not sure about that. I think swimsuit model is less muscle and a little more body fat than a bodybuilder. Fitness seems to have dance routines with it to show your strength and endurance. I'm shooting for "figure" since I don't know if I can build enough muscle for the bodybuilder category and I do prefer more muscle than swimsuit. There is a lot of information out there so you might to well to search the internet on the different categories if you don't find what you need here. I think I gave you the correct info. If not, hopefully someone else will post more regarding this. You probably need to figure out what you want to do and then get help assessing your physique to see where it fits.
LOL.. I meant.. Where are the description of what they are? I found the entry rules, upload 2 pics before, 2 pics day of competition etc.. I'll go look around some more.. Thanks..
